Loss Review – WeightChoice (TM) By
Patsy Besquet
This
is a review of the WeightChoice (TM) method of weight loss, which is not
a diet, but claims to actually change food and exercise preferences so
that people lose weight effortlessly, and so that the weight doesn’t
return. It’s
claimed the weight doesn’t return because the person doesn’t need to
stay on any continuing program. They’ve
simply become someone who is incapable of weight gain because they
habitually and automatically make healthy choices, without even thinking
about it. The
developer of the method is Australian behavioural therapist Christine
Sutherland, who has run several clinical trials testing the
effectiveness of the techniques she uses in the WeightChoice program.
One of her trials has been peer-reviewed and published in the
academic journal “Frontier Perspectives” at Temple University. I
thought that this method may have been something like the “Gabriel
Method”, but I was wrong. With
WeightChoice you don’t need to do any tedious visualisations or
affirmations, because most times you only need to use a simple technique
once and the problem has gone. For
example a lot of people suffer from cravings and feel like a slave to
food, with a lot of thinking time taken up with food thoughts.
WeightChoice has several techniques which actually kill off
cravings in just minutes, not just temporarily, but for good.
WeightChoice
teaches you a special way to take a particular craving and “mix it
up” with thoughts of something that repulses you.
The repulsive feeling quickly wears off, so that you still enjoy
that food, but now you’ve replaced the horrible addiction feelings
with real power to choose. You’re
no longer a slave to food thoughts. Likewise
the activities you engage in, the people you mix with, the type of sleep
you get, all affect your physical condition and specifically your
metabolic rate. That’s
why even seemingly small lifestyle changes can see not only dramatic
weight loss, but increased happiness and wellbeing generally. When you’ve been
able to make those kinds of changes, you can feel pretty satisfied and
contented with yourself, because you know you weren’t just kidding
yourself with another diet, but have actually improved your life and
your family’s life. And you get to slip into those jeans again! The WeightChoice
program is a very low $US67 in total, and this includes the manual
“Fat You – Skinny You” as well as 12 months’ access to
individual mentoring and support on the client-only WeightChoice forum. Visit http://www.weightchoice.com.au/fatyouskinnyyou.html
